So a few weeks ago
whenever the last State of the Union Address happened, Obama said something along the lines of, that means women should get paid as much as men for the same work. My mom went “pfft women do get paid as much as men.”
Really?!
I thought everyone knew that we didn’t. Do women seriously believe that??? Anyway I told her we make 70 cents to every dollar a man makes. Being loyal to the GOP and an avid watcher of Fox news she expressed her disbelief.
Last week she came home from work saying she was gonna ask for a raise soon.
Moral of the story, tell your moms sisters, daughters and lady friends about gender inequality in pay and watch Obama talk because he’s good at it.
